Jeffrey Katz began painting after staring nightly from his Brooklyn window towards Manhattan's ever-changing skyline. Architecture captured his imagination and symbolized a “changing city in motion.” His outsider style was featured twice during the annual NYC Dumbo Festival.
Jeff returned to his native New Orleans post Hurricane Katrina. He created “NOLA Yes,” a tribute to the city’s resilience. The paintings were featured during the 2006 “No Dead Artist” exhibition at Jonathan Ferrara Gallery. His work has been featured in several NOLA galleries.
Jeff is appreciative for ongoing commissions of local historic homes. Self-taught, he works with gouache on paper.
An advertising professional, Jeff takes pride in the communications development he does for several local non-profits.
